Liberty Crossroads

The Nicola Pouch Pattern

What do Liberty Crossroads and Sew Bake Make have in common? Nicola. A sister, a friend, and a fellow artist. She has inspired our pouch with her cute, practical, and simple style. A minimalist who isn't afraid of colour and personalization, but is afraid of large spaces you can loose your sh!# in.

The Nicola Pouch is a super versatile and stylish piece. It can be worn on the hips, on the waist, across the body, or around the shoulder. It is a unisex piece, and depending on the fabric and strapping you choose, you can really give it your own taste. This is a great piece to sew as a gift.

Throughout the instructions we will show you how to clean up the seam allowance with bias binding, how to sew a zipper welt, how to use a slide buckle with strapping, how to sew darts, and how to properly fuse your bag with extra structure. You can follow us on instagram to get some fun extra tips to personalize your pouch.

The Nicola Pouch is also a great scrap-buster as it uses very little fabric. It is a very straight forward sew, and is a great introduction to sewing bags!
